The sun was dipping into the horizon, the soft start of a sunset highlighting the world in a soft pastel color. Mezrith breathed in a deep sigh, her rat-like tail drifting across the jungle foliage. Her eyes drifted across the landscape before leaping onto the porch of her newly acquired tree house. It was bland, for the moment, and lower to the ground than most of the others. But it worked for what she wanted. A house. She didn't even have that in The Palm Glades. It wasn't as if she was denied a house there - not at all. She just never went out to find one.

A frown settled on her face at the thought. Quietly, she entered the house, thought didn't really go further before shaking her head and turning around to sit on the porch. One of her rear legs extended forward and she scratched her ear, a soft sigh leaving her.

Mezrith blinked, then ran back inside before emerging with a bag of.. something. Then she finally laid down, paws digging into the bag, hearing the soft noises of whatever was inside, before pulling a clam shell out of it. An airy chuckle left her as she looked at it. Though the memory was fuzzy, she remembered finding it along the sandy beaches. Maybe it was meant to be a gift? But for who? She placed a paw over the shell and shook her head.
