How on Dherog’s great creation did Rift even manage to get his arm around the gentle beast? Cory felt the alarm bells flaring in his head with vengeance, maneuvering himself back in a skittish manner. Despite this behavior, Cory’s teeth were bared sharply, his eyes twinkling with apprehension at the former. Didn’t know it was his? Why else would it be outside his door! “Wonderful,” he bitterly responded, glancing to the other two who came by to get Rift. He would just step back now, waiting for someone to get through to him.
