Perhaps it was the words Kold had said that rattled him, his furrowed brows shaded by the cloudy, sunlit, afternoon. "You better keep up that promise for 'A Better Pitt'. If you up and leave us, I'll hunt you down and drag your rat-looking ass back here for proper punishment." And maybe half of him wanted to see what she'd sworn, while the other wanted to hide like a fuckin child; yet maybe that's what she'd want instead of... well, him. But oh, how he wished it was only him.
The beast looked down at the wood he'd gathered, awkwardly ambling on his hind feet into an open space at the Plaza's edge and tossed them onto the ground before drawing the thread like vine, wrist-thick, from off his arm. Olalla paused there for a few moments, surveying the rope and wood logs before moving on to the location where he intended to put them. He placed the rope on top of the pile and began digging a rather deep hole, straining to grasp a piece of wood while preventing a mound of dirt from sliding into the newly dug hole. He was able to grip the wood after a few lengthy seconds and rammed it into the ground, promptly covering the hole and adding a bit of mossy mud to the mix afterwards.
Man, this was going to be a long day. Only 40 more to go.
