no problem! it seems like a neat character idea.
this exact thing probably would not be able to be accomplished, but i think you could get a pretty similar effect with mental manipulation (which you already plan on buying). instead of the clocks being "cursed" it could actually just be him slowly using his mental manipulation on the characters, resulting in the same outcome (he could still say/believe the clocks are magic, they just technically wouldn't be). the only reason the clocks can't be the ones accomplishing this is because you can't transfer powers to items, if that makes sense.
