Medusa
A gentle chuckle came from the hybrid - golden eyes looking at Rhine for a moment before she turned to face the ocean. "Thank you for the compliment - hard to get those sometimes." She tried to play it off as a laughing joke, but deep down she knew it was the truth - things like her found it hard to get compliments, so any simple nice word meant a lot to her. She shook the sadness gently off like it was an itchy bit of shed.
Turning her gaze toward Rhine as he explained his arrival, she couldn't help but smile. Nightmares weren't normal for Medusa - they were every night for the Stranger, so she was used to having someone show up nearby. But Medusa never had a nightmare - if she had, it wasn't impactful. "Wish I could say the same for me. I just couldn't sleep, oddly enough." Gently, more directed to the waves, but still loud enough for Rhine to hear, she added: "it's been going on a while." She shook her head, then gave Rhine a carefree smile.
