would this character be possible?

alright so back on another site, i had a character named "boo". he was a ghost that everyone could see, but he had no real shape. he was just a blob spirit that would change into the shape of people and become the colour of their aura. all he knew how to say said was "boo".
his general shape was like,,,

and i do believe he had the ability to possess npc that i controlled, so he definitely isn't invincible if it comes to battle, as i always put him into a body for that and if that body was destroyed, he was out of that battle.

  [font=trebuchet ms]I chatted with staff on this- since ghosts need to have internal organs and be able to be injured in this universe, unfortunately a straight-up blob as you proposed isn't really possible; even if they're possessing a body for battle, they need to be able to be injured outside of battle
  you could, if you wanted, use a jellyfish since it's vaguely blob-like, but you'd need either water elementals for it to be able to swim in a floating bubble of sorts, or telekinesis + air-breathing mutation for it to be able to float and breathe outside of water (if it were a small species of jellyfish)

  I really like the idea of a blob-ish ghost creature that shifts into other creatures and says "boo" though, I'd be interested in seeing it around with one of the aforementioned workarounds

ok, how would a ghost have organs. it’s a spirit???? making it just a jellyfish kind of ruins the entire point of the character, who’s meant to be a literal spirit and not just a slightly transparent animal ruins the entire idea of the character tree, considering the character shifts into different shapes but not actual bodies. i’m not going to be playing the character considering the entire original idea isn’t allowed.
