wings moving so fast they did not even seem to be there. the tiny bird flew over the earth with ease. staying low enough to be seen or hide depending. she knew the risks she was taking as the boarder scent came up. she stopped. hovering there until she landed on a low branch.

pulling her wings in and tilting her tiny horned head. eyes scanning the world around her with impatients. she was on a time frame. she hated being out at dark. owls were a serious issue for her. so, she hoped they would be there before then.

Owls certainly wouldn't be an issue for the small humming bird, not with a seven foot wyvern out and about. Though, if the wyvern was able to spot her, maybe it wouldn't be simply patrolling the border. Brutei snorted, scratched at their nose, and sniffed about. It smelled like a stranger, but they didn't see anyone. Could they have gotten further into the territory? The scent was strong, too. Hm. "Is there anyone here? Come on out, I can't see you."

the humming bird heard wyvern coming and felt awe wash over her. she was not even the size of their claw. well you are huge. not in a bad way. the bird flew up until she was eye level. taking in the sight of the other from a slightly less craned neck position.

i am waspsting. i want to join. she spoke as she hovered there. wings flapping so fast one could not see them. the wyvern gave her some safety for the moment. a large predator near would keep other predators away.

so, she was not worried any longer.

The wyvern seemed to be out and about a lot lately to the lion's pleasure. They seemed to almost attract attention. Maybe it was their large size? Their height that allowed them to see across the territory easier? Perhaps their personality? An extrovert could get out often, unlike himself. Romulus could not quite figure out the appeal and wanted to know more about 'getting out,' especially given he was caved up recently. With that intent in mind, the kingpin exited his home and wandered out into the territory.

Similar to last time, he found himself meandering near the border when he spotted the wyvern. They appeared to be looking at... nothing? Romulus squinted out across the clearing as he listened to the dragon speak. He approached curiously with caution (this time concerning Brutei, wondering if the other had a psychotic break). Thankfully, his worries ended as a small bird flapped out of the trees and into view. With a small sigh and shake of his head, he continued forward casually.

"I believe that would be suitable," came his low voice when he approached. "Although I worry for your smaller and tropical stature when the winter hits..." His eyes narrowed as he observed the other, mind racing. "We can figure out something though."
